Benefits - New Employees - Dental/Vision Insurance

The Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP) is available to all permanent federal employees who are eligible for health insurance.

NOTE: Some employees who are on temporary appointments or have a seasonal/intermittent work schedule may be eligible for FEHB but are still not eligible for FEDVIP. (If you are unsure if you are eligible for FEDVIP, contact the Benefits Service Center.)

FEDVIP premiums are withheld from your salary on a pre-tax basis. For information about the available FEDVIP plans or enrollment procedures, visit BENEFEDS.com or call 877-888-3337.

You must enroll online within 60 days of the effective date found on your hire/confirmation letter (not necessarily your first day at work); otherwise, you will have to wait until the next Benefits Open Season or until you experience a Qualifying Life Event (QLE) to enroll in FEDVIP.
