Oracle Data Center Migration
ARC will migrate the Oracle Federal Financials, PRISM and OBI infrastructure currently located at Oracle Managed Cloud Services (OMCS) in Austin, TX to Oracle's new modern data center - the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) data center – located in Ashburn, VA.
The OCI data center includes “Always On Encryption”, which allows ARC to resolve a security concern with encryption that is only done at rest currently. This allows OCI to be rated Fed Ramp HIGH, which is an improvement over our current OMCS data center rated Fed Ramp MODERATE. Both Shared and US Mint Manufacturing instances will be moving at the same time.
Below are the key milestone dates that have been approved by the ARC Executive Board and IT Enterprise Architecture Boards.
- System Integration Testing – Complete
- User Acceptance Testing – 12/05/2022 thru 02/08/2023
- Go Live - Weekend of 03/13/2023 (subject to necessary approvals)
Due to changes in IP addresses and application URLs, all Oracle, OBI, and PRISM users are highly encouraged to participate in user acceptance testing. Changes may be required to agency firewall settings, browser group policies, or incoming email filters if connectivity issues arise.
